How much alike are the O'Neils?
Lareesha Khabatari, lk145@uakron.edu Are the O’Neil twins really that similar? What if you were to ask the same exact questions to them. Would you get similar answers or completely different ones? Well, after an interview, the answer may still be unclear. The two twins, Brother Larry and Brother Tom, were asked a series of questions including, “Do you have twin telepathy?” and “What’s your biggest fear?’ The answers may surprise you. “Do you have twin telepathy?” - The twins

Welcome Mr. Morgan
Mikiela Grimes, mng51@uakron.edu Mr. Morgan, a long-term substitute teacher, is bringing enthusiasm, curiosity, and a fresh perspective to the classroom this year. A 2020 graduate of Green High School, Mr. Morgan went on to earn a degree in History with the initial goal of becoming a college professor. However, after completing his degree, he realized that path was not the right fit for him. Last year, he spent some time working as a substitute teacher, a role he originally

Review: Jordan Peele's HIM
Dakota Polk, dp220@uakron.edu Ke’Ila Frazier, kkf20@uakron.edu Jordan Peele’s movie production company, MonkeyPaw Productions, put out a movie titled, HIM. Starring Tyriq Withers, he plays a football athlete by the name of Cameron Cade. During the game season, Cameron gets a brain-injury, and he starts to surrender to the idea that all is lost, and that his dreams might never be a reality. However, Marlon Wayans, who plays the role of Isaiah White, has a great resume in the w

Review of Weapons
The newly released horror film “Weapons” (Rated R), starring Julia Garner, brings audiences along a haunting journey, where all students in a classroom, except for one, mysteriously vanish at 2:17 A.M. at the exact same time. The community is left rattled and lost as to who or what is responsible for this unexpected disappearance. This haunting thriller was both chilling and a refreshing take on the umbrella of concepts horror movies traditionally follow. We thoroughly enjoye

The Benefit of a Vision Board
By Jordin Vaughn, jdv42@uakron.edu With an increase in assignments being handed out, more tests coming up, and things overall just getting harder as the year progresses, it is important that we remind ourselves of why we are even doing any of this at all. I personally like making one for each school year or season but a

Conserving Nature with Service
Reese Bennett rb313@uakron.edu On Saturday, September 20th, I had the opportunity to travel to and participate in a program called “Geneva on the Lake”. Programs like it are based on helping service workers keep parks and nature healthy. Programs and opportunities like this exist everywhere, but are often underrepresented. It is important to inform people on how they can support their communities and the environment. An unfortunate fact is that people who use these parks ta

Tetris In Space
Jaden Beacham jab606@uakron.edu I LOVE Tetris. I have played over a thousand levels and it is my third favorite video game. So, you can imagine my surprise when I found out that it was the first video game ever played in space. The record was accomplished by a Russian cosmonaut named Aleksandr Serebrov. On July 1st, 1993, he brought his Game Boy with him as he soared toward the MIR Space station. Apparently, he deeply enjoyed the game and would play it in his free time whil
