“Priscilla” (Rated R) written and directed by the beloved Sofia Coppola had a generally mixed review across the majority of viewers. Despite this, the film proveild undeniably striking cinematography and emphasized Coppola’s unique eye for detail within her scenework. This movie was solely based upon the autobiography “Elvis and Me” written by Mrs. Pressley, and portrayed the intricate tale of the couple's relationship through exclusively the eyes of her. The actress’ portrayal of Priscilla by Cailee Spaeny was absolutely outstanding, having the talent to play an extremely versatile role, ranging from the ages of 14 years old to 27 was extremely compelling, and was something we thoroughly enjoyed about the movie. This biopic gave a completely new perspective toward Elvis and the relationship he shared with Priscilla, and truly showcases the controlling tendencies Elvis had and its effect on Priscilla and their relationship entirely. We would rate this movie a ⅘ and recommend it to be put on your watch list for the upcoming year.
