This upcoming spring, the dancers of Ballet Theatre of Ohio are performing Beauty and the Beast for the first time ever. From the music selection to the choreography to the costumes, everything has been from scratch. The dancers and directors alike have been working tremendously hard to make this showing of Beauty and the Beast the best that it can be. Our ballet is a creative retelling of the original Beauty and the Beast story that contains amazing dances, beautiful costumes, and talented dancers who put their all into every show.Â
This is the first time that I have been involved with a new ballet of this size. Beauty and the Beast has been a huge undertaking yet has been worth every moment spent on it. It has been so rewarding to watch the dances form and morph from rehearsal to rehearsal and see a sneak peek at what will be performed on May 4th and 5th.
I am so excited to see the final result and I hope that people will join us at the Civic Theatre to do the same!
