For the past three years, every February for Black History Month our BSU (Black Student Union) has showcased back culture at Leigh Hall. They incorporate students from all grade levels in their performances. BSU has worked hard to improve their performance every year making each year better and better. You should expect a showcase full of celebration and fun this year. Unlike last year, there was a fashion show, but there will be a red-carpet event this year. BSU is also raffling off a basket, tickets can be purchased during lunch.

Be there this Thursday starting from 1:15-2:30 @ Leigh Hall!!!

How is this year's BSU Showcase different from last year?

  • “I would say it’s one of the most important years to display black culture due to the circumstances our president has put us under. As an African American student and BSU president, it’s definitely a lot more pressure to show the talent we have. Last year's showcase was very successful don’t ever get that wrong! but this year, there’s a whole new reason why this showcase is more important than ever.” - Fatimah Wahid

What are you looking forward to at the BSU showcase?

  • “I’m looking forward to everyone having fun, the step team, and the new singing group. Overall, everyone is coming together to show support for BSU and Black History Month.” - Q Marks
