As the Award Show season is actively approaching, the kickoff of the cinema award season, “The Golden Globes” announced both the nominees and winners for all cinematic categories. For those who were unable to watch, I will uncover the most discussed award categories, nominees, and winners, as well as the public’s responses. As for one of the first categories, “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures” the nominees consisted of Alien: Romulus, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Deadpool & Wolverine, Wicked, Gladiator II, Inside Out 2,  Twisters, The Wild Robot. Most unsurprisingly, the motion picture film awarded was “Wicked” as it completely took theatres around the U.S. by storm. The next category, “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy” consisted of nominees, Cynthia Erivo, Wicked, Karla Sofía Gascón, Emilia Pérez, Demi Moore, The Substance, Mikey Madison, Anora, and Zendaya, Challengers. The winner of that category was Demi Moore, despite her extensively long career, this was declared her first Golden Globe award. As for possibly the most debated award of the night, “Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy,” the nominees were Anora, Emilia Perez, Challengers, A Real Pain, The Substance and Wicked, with Emilia Perez winning. Unexpectedly, the musical Emilia Perez swept the award show entirely, winning the majority of other categories nominated, leaving audiences utterly shocked.
