As a whole I think we can all agree that making activities accessible to all is massively important and that we

should support these organizations as best we can. Well, one of these organizations is here in Ohio at Towpath Tennis, it is known as ACEing autism. It enables kids, young adults, and overall individuals that are on the autism spectrum to take part in the joy of playing tennis whilst touching on subjects of growth and life lessons with the application of routines like the “word of the day” which groups words like: kindness, teamwork and respect. Giving the athletes a positive reminder of the skills they can use on a daily basis. The athletes learn tennis techniques and the improvement that can be seen each week is truly amazing all while improving motor skills .

The connections and interactions made in between the athletes allow for social interactions that are deeply needed for any young person and there’s really something beautiful about this program. Now, I was specifically talking about Towpath’s program but for those who want a bit more information about ACEing autism as a foundation you should know that there are 113 programs offered across America, and with the help of partners ACEing autism increases accessibility with low costs per lesson,

An honorable mention to the head team of volunteers and coaches who are true rockstars for their full dedication and hard work that they put in every single week.

If you are interested in volunteering for an awesome cause then you should definitely check out the website https://aceingautism.org/.
